Information on the Most Pollutants in the Mediterranean

•  Mediterranean beaches have been used as a place for discharging the waste and all harmful materials – insecticides- agricultural pesticides- agricultural fertilizers- sewage wastes. Given that the capability of the Mediterranean is limited to clean it's because it is closed sea.

• Suffocation of the living creatures because of the pollution source of the drainage water containing organic materials and industrial toxic soluble wastes, and as consequence the oxygen would run out.

• The sea turtle eats the plastic bags thinking them as jellyfish witch would kill it.

•  85% of sewage polluted water coming from the 120 coastal cities switching into the sea without treatment. UN confirms that 24% of the sea beaches  were biologically analyzed and it has revealed they fell short far of the safe requirements

• The oil pollution due to the oil tankers when accidents occur and the spill would kill the marine living things as a result of hiding the sun light and oxygen to them due to the thin layer formed from the oil on sea surface.

•  The Mediterranean contains 1/8 to ¼ of quantities of pollution resulting from oil in the world
